[REVIEW] Etude House Lash Perm 3 Step Volumecara

 Hello lovelies!
Etude House has just recently launched a new addition to their mascara line, namely, the Lash Perm 3 Step Volumecara!
A CF with Dara and SHINee was made especially for this product. I think because this is the first time EH launched this kind of mascara - an adjustable mascara to cater to your need or mood!
It's basically a mascara that could create three different finishes ~ awesome right?

Here's the packaging!
It's so cute and dainty!~

Description:
Etude House Lash Perm 3 Step Volumecara : With its breakthrough adjustable dial,3 Step Volumecara provides 3 settings for 3 volume looks in 1 mascara, letting you customize your own lash style!

Instructions:
1.Hold the bottle in one hand and turn the left part until desired setting.
2.Apply a layer of mascara from the base of lashes and wiggle brush up to the tip of lashes.
3.Repeat with the next setting to build more volume.

Ingredients:
Water, Acrylates Copolymer, Iron Oxides (CI77499), Paraffin, Kaolin, Coperncia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Beeswax, Stearic Acid, Behenyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated polysobutene, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Tromethiamine, Milk protein extract, Glycerin, Acacia Senegal Gum, potassium Cetyl phosphate, 1,2-Hexanedol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Isotearic Acid, Dimethcone, Silica, Inositol, Butylene Glycol, Glycine, Serine, Glutamic Acid, Aspartic Acid, Leucine, Alanin, Lysine, Argnine, Tyrosine, phenylalanine, Valine, Threonine, proline, Isolecine, Histidine, Methonine, Cystene, potassium sorbate, phenoxethanol. (whew! that was a lot!)

Content:
9.5g
Step 1: Defined, clean volume
Step 2: Full, glamorous volume

Step 3: Dramatic, smoky volume

This is what I was talking bout earlier~ the adjustable dial to be able to create three different looks.
Step 1: Defined, clean volume
Step 2: Full, glamorous volume
Step 3: Dramatic, smoky volume

A "stop" indicator makes it easier for us to tell when to stop twisting the body of the mascara.

And look at how Etude House really makes us all princesses! A tiara on the top of the cap!~

I also received these cleansing tissues as freebies when I preordered it from Korea. ^^
I hope they also give this out here in the Philippines!

The amount of product dispensed onto the mascara wand is controlled by the setting you choose.
Just look at how much mascara is dispensed when the Step 3 is chosen! ^^

Now swatched on my arm~

~and then on my lashes! My lashes are curled here ^^
Step 1 is ideal for simple makeup.
Personally, I prefer Step 2 over the other two settings since it gives me just the right amount of volume that I like.
However, if you're planning to do smoky or heavy makeup, I'd recommend Step 3! ^^

I tried to layer Step 3 to see if it's buildable and if I could achieve Dara's look in the CF.~
I can say that's it's buildable but to some extent. I found it rather difficult to triple coat it prolly because of the thickness of the lash strands due to the layering.
Wasn't able to achieve the volume Dara had in the CF but still, esp. in person, the 3 coats of Step 3 did give me much volume!

 Overall thoughts:

I must say that the idea of a 3-in-1 mascara is brilliant as you can easily switch from sweet looking eyes to dramatic, glamorous lashes!

The mascara is itself very handy/small which makes it easier to stash in your purse!

It doesn't do too much with lengthening your lashes, though yes, the lengthening is still there, but just a bit, I'd say it's pretty decent. Volumizing factor is however great, even the Step 3 is buildable!

It ever so slightly weighs down the curl upon application, but after, it holds the curl being true to it's 1 day perm effect promise. However, the wand is kind of stiff (I accidentally scratched my lash bed in attempt of getting the roots covered as well), it's not so gentle on the lash bed.

My eyes did not get irritated whatsoever with the mascara.

I've experienced minimal flaking and smearing on the lower outer corner of the eyes. Building it to Step 3 somehow clumps my lashes, a lash comb is recommended!

Not hard to take off despite it giving so much volume!

Overall Rating: 4/5

I hope you found this review helpful!
What do you think about this mascara?
